Happy Halloweenie!

Yay, it's New Release Day at starvingartistamps.com! I love NRD's because it means that my work is done and it's only a matter of time before I'll start to see the new images implemented in the Design Team and customer blogs! That part of it is just like Christmas, except in this case it's Halloween!

I have to admit I pushed the deadline of this set to the limit. I literally delivered the goods to Tracey at the 11th Hour, which means that I haven't missed a deadline yet, but I fear my Procrastination Disease is getting worse as I age.

One of the last things I did on this set was name the characters. I actually have a cat named "Trouble" who was inappropriately named "Vincenzo" when we adopted him 4 years ago. I love that all the DF characters have names because it seems to lend to the storytelling the designers and customers often associate with their scenes.

The first DF sets I ever created were the "Animals" & "Creatures" and back then I enlisted the help of my (other blog) readers to help me name them all. It was a fun collaborative effort, and while I can no longer preview the characters before they release, I'm open to naming a future character after your suggestions.

So, if there's a character name you're dying to have immortalized in rubber, leave a comment I may end up using your suggestion in a future set!

    How weird is it that you posted a name request right now, just last night I was doing dishes and I was thinking that the name Marmalade might be a good name for a Doodle.

  6. I *love* the new stamps!! I've already ordered them all and can't wait for the mailman to deliver. AAHH!!

    Marmalade is a great suggestion! I'm also a huge fan of the names Savannah and Violet... definitely not as kooky as your normal names, but I dig them. OH! What about Frik & Frak?

  7. Wow. You're simply the best, and you've done it again, Irene!! They are AWESOME!! I'm totally addicted to your stamps, and my body is just craving to get them! :)

    As for names I came up with:
    Curlicue / Curly Sue
    Quiver
    Ponderus
    Wrinkly

    //Nina

    PS. I think the mailman is on his way to your place... He's probably dead tired, cuz he's been travelling all the way from the other side of the planet ;)

  10. Thanks so much for your sweet comment! Those adorable little creatures on that card are actually stamps drawn by our very own Nina! :D (She's probably not even legal - I think there's a limit on talent somewhere and she's passed it looong agon, wouldn't you say?!)

    Trouble is TOO cute! Love his colouring! ...the drawn version is adorable too...!! :D
